Maxim Mjodov aka agnicolonist is a photographer and mixed media artist from Tallinn, Estonia. Fascinated with emulsion-based photography, he dedicated himself entirely to studying it starting from 2003 and began to experiment in search of expressive forms and photographic possibilities. In addition to documentary and editorial photography, he creates surreal collages on all sorts of surfaces using liquid emulsion, silk-screen printing and other various methods of image transfer.
The main themes of his work include history, relationships in modern society, the transformation and influence of landscape, complexity and fragility of the human experience and memory.
